This subject provides an understanding of the control of water and the water table for semi-natural habitats in riparian lands.
On successful completion of this module the delegate will be able to: Water abstraction systems (from groundwater and surface water sources). Water distribution systems (pumps, pumping and pipelines). Water storage (reservoirs and tanks). Water control (dams, drainage and river engineering). Water for irrigation. Water treatment (for domestic and industrial purposes). Wastewater collection: sewerage and drainages. Wastewater treatment and engineering. Water and sanitation technology for low and middle-income countries.
