1. UNESCO towards a water balance of the Lake Chad. This project covers the entire Chad basin area and to assess the problems of drying Lake Chad. To develop a conceptual model for the region (sponsored by UNESO) (2003 - date) 2. Changing Ground Water Resources of the Komadugu-Yobe flood plain (Gashua-Yobe State). Evaluate and model the potential of groundwater resources for the optimal development and prudent Management (European Union, 1990-1995) 3. Performance of Peruvian Algarroba (Prosopis Pallida) for desertification control in North-Eastern Nigeria (2001- date). This project is sponsored by JICA, Federal Ministry of Environment and University of Maiduguri. 4. Roving Training on Tapping Techniques for Gum-Arabic farmers in Borno, Yobe, Jigawa, Kebbi, and Katsina states.
