The IWLRI centres its activities around four complementary activities: Research - The IWLRI's research activities focus on three key aspects of water law: international (transboundary), national, and transnational (public-private, and trade in water). (more info on the website) Academic - The University of Dundee offers lawyers and non-lawyers a number of postgraduate degrees (PhD, LLM, MSc, MBA and Diploma) in water law and policy. (more info on the website) Consultancy - The IWLRI has a proven track record in providing consultancy services to national governments, international river commissions, transboundary watercourse riparians, international donors and international NGOs. The IWLRI also conducts regional training seminars on water law and policy issues. (more info on the website) Outreach, Advocacy and Promotion - The IWLRI conducts various activities under this activity, including organising a biennial water law conference that attracts more than 100 leading international professionals from industry, governments and academia.
